Meet the Owner and CEO

Canisha Cierra Turner

Motivational Speaker

Leadership or royalty? The microphone or the crown? Which best describes her? BOTH. Thus in August 2016, the state of North Carolina officially recognized her as the Owner and CEO of ‘Executive Reign’, having all of the rights and privileges thereto.

Canisha Cierra Turner is the true definition of extraordinary. This firecracker is the proud daughter of Cornell and Elnora Turner of Waverly, Virginia. She has been on stage since the age of 2 and enjoys motivational speaking and all things media and entertainment. She is a 14 year pageant veteran, having competed in natural, semi-glitz, and scholarship pageants. She has competed on all levels: local, state, national, and international. At the age of 10, she became the print model for Van Sciver Photography. She is also a baton twirling champion and studied at Deborah’s School of Dance during her early years. At the age of 18, Turner founded Shining Stars Illuminating the World Baton Troupe, a mentorship for young girls ages 9-13, that teaches life skills while incorporating the skill of baton twirling.

The success of Shining Stars and other service endeavors garnered her recognition by superstar Janet Jackson for the 2011 Janet Jackson 20under20 Extraordinary Youth Award in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Her service extends beyond native soil, for she has traveled to Ghana, West Africa to donate books and speak to village schools in Kumasi, Ho, Accra, Elmina, and Cape Coast. She is an alumna of North Carolina A&T State University and had the pleasure of serving as the 2013-2014 Student Government Association President which placed her at the center of the student body as the direct liaison between the administration, students, and the University of North Carolina system. She enjoyed working with her board and other leaders to create forums and legislation for the student body and the university. During her term, she changed the constitutional structure of student government, wrote her own speeches, was interviewed heavily by the media, conducted monthly radio spots entitled “Talks with Madame President”, and served on the Board of Trustees. Overall, her greatest joy was representing over 10,600 outstanding students as their drum major for change.

Canisha Cierra has spoken to audiences all over the United States of America as a motivational speaker. Her speeches are inspirational, thus encouraging audiences to think, “Who Am I Not to Be?” She brilliantly crafts motivational messages intertwined with modern and historical real world examples to match whatever the theme of the event.
